Nathan is on page 65 of 288 of Emotional Awareness: Overcoming the Obstacles to Psychological Balance and Compassion
A very dense book because of the expertise of the two men speaking on the topic. Interesting, but had to return to library, will finish later.

Nathan is on page 42 of 304 of Scarcity: Why Having Too Little Means So Much
A broad look at scarcity, from that of material things to time. Interested to finish. The theory of the Scarcity Trap is compelling to see how it fits onto different situations.

Nathan is on page 101 of 320 of The Story Factor: Inspiration, Influence, and Persuasion through the Art of Storytelling
I really want to like this book, and there are some gems of knowledge in it. I find it hard to keep the main points straight when so many different stories are presented one after another.

Nathan is on page 165 of 336 of The Inevitable: Understanding the 12 Technological Forces That Will Shape Our Future
Feeling a lot of resistance reading the Sharing chapter. Kevin's Sharing narrative at the end of the chapter reads like David Eggers The Circle. I was onboard with the optimism of the book until this point, and now I'm feeling suspicious. Maybe because as a designer, Sharing has often translated to let me pay you less or nothing at all. Trying see it from the other side though.

Nathan is on page 186 of 416 of Design for the Real World: Human Ecology and Social Change
This book was a hard read some thirty years after its time. It reads like a long critique on the status quo with mostly anecdotal citations. The book feels more firmly rooted against something, rather than optimistically striving for a cause.

Nathan is 15% done with The Knowledge: How to Rebuild Our World from Scratch
Interesting premise, but sleepy writing style. With such a broad area of topics to cover, I'm beginning to question the accuracy of the work documented here. Not going to finish this book after 15% in.
