all that time reading 2 translations of genesis before starting this really paid off cause this book truly is the bible

got a nasty headache but remembered that this supposedly has hilarious narration, so i took my ibuprofen, left the window wide open & snuggled down in my bed to listen to this. and yeah. its trashy but good

east of eden read ON PAUSE cause i just realised steinbeck likely used the king james version from which he may have (?) added lines in east of eden #rip

reading this is interesting as i've read gilgamesh & finished odyssey this year as (according to the annotations & such) there r frequent enough parallels to 'near eastern' epics & mythology such as gilgamesh & the first 5 books of the hebrew bible originate in oral tradition so there's many similarities to the odyssey in frequent repetitions in syntax & vocabulary

preparing for my east of eden read lmfao

okei a nagu mis mottes sa mainid 'uksteise loomist kaseokstega' ergo vihtlemist oma suures evil monoloogis uhe naitena evil tegevustest mis te koos evilena teete? vihtlemine? evil?

so goddamn corny in the bad way im begging for the plot twist & end to come so i can rest in peace

watched the film with like 200 pgs to go sigh

on a search for howls moving castle-like literature & stumbled onto this cute & fun series. dont mind me

finally got my ereader so got to start on this anyway whats up with the male lead lol

cannot verbalise how disappointed i am in the nothingburger deluxe of the writing style. like we couldnt spare a taste of poetical language?

finally got my hands on a copy

getting more and more annoyed at how miraculously their enemies confess that they're actually allies who've been spying on their enemies all along

trying to speedrun the hell out of this cause im simply so annoyed by the writing style and feyre lol

annoying as hell that i gotta reread it for my thesis but whatever i put on the audiobook (skimming the actual book later on) and messed around with shitty watercolours. its fun the narrator does an incredible elizabeth banks as effie impersonation

kind of everything happening constantly always which is a HUGE contrast to book #1 lol but that doesnt mean its good ❤️

i need some trashy reading alongside mishimas forbidden colours and donosos the obscene bird of the night and LMFAO its soooooo fucking bad. it literally reads like someones shitty 1st person pov lotr fanfiction my god

shaking in my boots reading this im so excited like u just know a book titled after the series thats also #7 in the series is gonna be a hit

i get the lower average rating cause the content is like just ok but i do love lispectors writing style. definitely planning on acquiring some of her books once ive finished reading through my current library

i never want to stop reading this book

(repost cause i realised i had not added here the version im actually reading so goodreads thought by my pages read that ive already finished 😭)

i never want to stop reading this book

this book is so good its soooooo good yes ive been reading it for like 7 months now but there was a very boring section (for me) in my defence

i did a fist bump when reading the synopsis oh i am so ready for this

i literally have a stack of fresh new books waiting to be read but none of them are very suitable to be read in bed before sleeping so ig im starting this

reading is fucking me up so bad im literally walking around on shaky legs and scared to take a shower..... torture porn at its darkest
