Really excited about this book. I love the Michael Bennett character

Another historical fiction! Enjoying it!

The main character still isn’t very likable but the book is good, I think! 😂 I’m not sure what all the buzz has been about!

I am officially a fangirl! I just love this man’s writing. It is dark and gritty but what great characters he develops.

I really like this author and have enjoyed yet another book of his!

Ugh - the fact that Muslim women are
part of families that (still) believe “a woman is no man” makes me speechless!

The fact that women (still) live in situations or marriages where their observant Muslim families continue to believe “a woman is no man” is disheartening to me! This book shares the story well.

Ohhh I loved this book! I’m sorry it’s over.

O.M.G!!!! Everyone should read this book! It is beyond excellent! Might be the best book I’ve read since…I don’t know when. Gotta do Audible though. It’s just fascinating!!

It’s good…and sad. Definitely brings back the stupid decisions of my teen years.

So far I like it! Very reminiscent of the current Britain Royals.

I love this book! The Gilded Age with the Astors and the Vanderbilts, the Knickerbockers and the Nouveau Riche is such an interesting time in history. I am sure part of my fascination comes from the fact that I grew up in NY near several of their “country estates”.
