I have read the version by Emily Wilson beforehand so I generelly know the story but I like how every author offers a slightly different version of events. Stephen Fry includes a lot of background for words/side characters and even explains the beginnings of Aeneid's story, which I honestly don't know much about.

All I know is that Virgil wrote the Aeneis and hates his brother Dante ;)

Googled so many words until I found a website that some Swede built as a glossary for Blood Meridian.


Today I learnt there is a unique word for a young male falcon. Calzones are underpants. Sark is a word for "shirt" that's really hard to find the translation for.
