PLOT TWIST!!!

I’m getting some serious Doctor Who vibes from this, and it is absolutely wonderful!

I’ve been reading it as part of a one-year reading plan. Day 94!

I finished 10 books since Sunday morning. Wow. This is what quarantine is doing to me, since I've been home sick since Sunday.

I’m not sure if I like this. Right now, all it seems to be doing is preaching the media’s message: no racism, accept gay people, don’t disregard mental illness (PTSD) ...

Where’s the plot? Or is that it?

There is some kind of a plot brewing, about the weird magical things going on. And the story of the past battle is told with article clippings and classified letters, and I’m loving how it’s told.

I am slowly unburying myself from my pile of arcs-to-review. Somehow I managed to accrue over 130 of them, half unread, half read but un-reviewed. I've been working hard and managed to cute the pile down to 94 in the last 10 days.

My sincerest apologies if you are one of the authors waiting for my review. It's coming! ... even if it is 3 years late already. (And I'm NOT getting anything new.)

I picked this book for a challenge (My Reader Rewards summer challenge from Tyndale Publishers), and for some reason, I just expected to “get through it.” But here I am, page 16, totally caught up in it already. I’m loving it and don’t want to put it down. Alas, sleep...

I’m very impressed so far! From my limited knowledge of French history at this time, the author appears to have done an excellent job with historical research.

I appear to be addicted to Melanie Cellier’s books at present. Quite an unfortunate circumstance for getting anything done! At least I have 3 extra days off this week due to Labor Day and the hurricane. (I don’t appear to be in any real danger, either.)

I'm loving the brotherhood dynamic in this book :)

This book was recommended by one of my professors. I’m finding it pretty interesting. It definitely challenges ones faith.
