Highly entertaining. My extended family is Chinese so there were some things brought up that I could relate to. (our family goes nuts for soup dumplings too!) For fans of the show fair warning: Eddie Huang's life was not a family friendly sitcom!! My only complaint is editing. It read a bit like a high school AP student's autobiography. I loved his voice, however, and it read like a conversation. Highly recommend it!

Eddie Huag has a clear and distinctive voice. His humor while speaking of some really traumatic events is a wonderful way of approaching difficult subject matter. I find myself looking up many words and phrases in Urban Dictionary as a lot of his slang I foreign to me. Has certainly drawn me and is holding my attention. Great for fans of the show to see what life was truly like for Eddie Huag and not all sitcomed up.

Great historical fiction novel in the ya genre. On par with Phillipa Gregory.

Just as good as the first and I have to hand it to Danielle, she writes one heck of a cliff hanger! I can't wait for the conclusion in the next book! If only there wasn't such a long wait!!

I'm in love with this series

So far as good as the rest. Could be better, could be worse.

The mathematics discussed is easy over my head and very confusing but I'm muddling through it and I'm finding it very enjoyable!

The artwork is very different from the Emily comics but it is AWESOME! So far the artwork and sorry are kick butt.

so far wood dies a wonderful job of making the story sound like a classic Grimm tale. a witch doing a favor in exchange for a human life for a set amount of time. yet it fantastically fits within the modern day world.

this was an interesting tale that looked at the darker side of the uber rich of los Angeles. although this wasn't my usual genre I found the novel entertaing and finished it in one sitting.

Listening to the audio CD of Harry Potter brought me back to the first time I entered Rowling's world all those many years ago. It was just as magical now as it was then.
