The writer had potential, but didn’t know how to make us start liking the H so she suddenly makes him care about her when the beginning of the book is about how much he hates her and wants her to pay for what she’s done. I wish authors knew a way to transition their traditional enemies to lovers bc the sudden twist of you’ve built up how much they hate each other to them loving each other makes no sense.

They instantly somehow at 50% go from hating and can’t stand each other to now. He cares about her and wants to cuddle and she wants to be around him all the time it’s hinted that she has been trafficked in the past, but you’re not really sure because it only gives us glimpses into the past so her snapping and not understanding what’s going on doesn’t make sense being her dad’s a trafficker

This book falls into what I called. The author doesn’t know how to resolve the storyline, the hatred, the anger, perfect at the beginning they both hate each other, used to love each other amazing. She is hinting that she’s been hurt in the past. She doesn’t really care because she’s a very jaded and has a very bleak outlook on life. She’s a strong heroin because of her past and at 50% it goes downhill.

I’m struggling to finish this book right now. I’ve been in a book fund. This did make me back excited about reading. I’ve been having a bit of the book blues for about the last year. I’ll find a really good book to eat and then a bunch of trash… Anyways, this one’s started out very intriguing. I was very interested in the story. It started out so good.

Okay I think this is dnf. Read some reviews and seems it only gets worse as I don’t like reading about multiple personalities it just comes across as cheesy. I had to check bc I can’t believe this is the same author as the hurt so good book. I really enjoyed that book and was really intrigued by that book

I’m struggling to even get started with this book. This makes no sense. She has amnesia and decides to sell her v card, bc she only knows she is a v bc the doctor told her so she’s going to sell it? And this auction they made to be so great and she’s ready and willing……. Makes no sense at all

I’m confused why he’s convinced she’s the snitch her persona makes no sense. Shes very introverted shy person who is having panic attacks anytime she’s around him and has severe anxiety… But somehow she just does everything he tells her to do and enjoys it. There’s absolutely no pushback just she says what’s the point and does it these are the most 1-dimensional characters I’ve ever read

I do really enjoy the premise I like the backbone of the book. It is just so very flat. I am so very confused. The characters and their motivations do not match. It’s like the author just took a whole mortgage board of everything and jammed it into one book these three high school students are Hitman fighters and own. Sex clubs.

I saw that this book was recommended by somebody and realize it’s been on my to be Red list since last year so I decided to hold off of Pack Darling part two and read this. The review I read said that they DNF at 24%and I can understand why I just looked at I’m only 34% done. I don’t understand how we’re not at least at 50%…

It’s painful trying to finish this. She’s a self righteousness b. It’s frustrating. the author is trying to write her as a strong woman with pride but my goodness at what point is there self preservation?! She has a medically fragile child who friends have to beg and convince her to accept nice gifts for, she lives in the literal slums bc she’s too prideful to live with her parents. Brendon’s right…

So I love the premise of the book. I will be honest and the first 50-60% of the book were good I am not a huge fan of the scenes kind of fading to black. There is a setup for a situation and something about how it just kind of ends before the resolution and it’s discussed in past tense. Also the last 70% so far has been so preachy. It will be great for people who love long grovels….

this book was intriguing initially….i found this from a fb reel and was surprised bc its interesting. But I feel like the sex happened too quickly. Like I get the sexual tension but the way they all just started immediately seemed a little unrealistic given their hatred for her and her upbringing. I’m 40% and wondering what could possibly be left…I like the writing style so will try more books by this author

So just a few issues. Not sure what the hiding of their pendants is supposed to be. I mean I guess to show they can’t be vulnerable. The heroine gets on my nerves bc she has a bad background, was homeless and broke and husband left, but she is so self righteous about everything. She didn’t start out that way. The whole she wears thrift clothes bc it’s good for the plan and only eats vegan came out of thin air

Okay I’m 38% done and seriously wondering what more can be happening. Nicole fox has some amazing ideas for books, but I think just bc of the volume that she writes at…they are typically just not fully fleshed out. They are always trilogies, and involve the Russian mafia. This book started off soo well, and then just lost steam…

I want to like this book. I absolutely love the premise… it combines the tropes I love MC and secret baby. But….. how it goes from such potential to absolute shit within the first 5 pages I am unsure. I kind of like the banter between mammoth and Riley initially but then, she does a time lapse of them sitting and talking which you can’t do when introducing characters then she suddenly wants to have sex? Wtf?!!

Carrie is pissing me off and she’s being a complete bitch right now smh. I normally don’t hate a female protagonist like this but I absolutely hate her and her attitude….

Really loving this book. I usually prefer dark books but this is such a fun read. I love their back and forth banter. I’m a bit oissed at Carrie. I want her to just tell him. He will be so hurt as he wants to feel like he belongs somewhere…

At this point I think I’m rage reading….. lmao I just don’t understand why he wouldn’t have run a background check in the bff and brother given his lifestyle and importance of the child.

Ok I said I was done at the start lmao. I decided to try to finish. I really don’t think I’ve disposed a H as much as Dima. He has to be the worst H I’ve read. And not bc he’s a bad person, bc he is a bumbling idiot. Everything he touches turns to crap. He has to be the most idiotic inept “leader” in hoping he just abandons taking over . No one including his own men and seems to like or respect him.

made to 15%. going to dnf.. I loved the premise but nothing makes sense. Not really liking the H, his whole situation screams unstable he’s ina mutiny with his “employees”. Even how they hook up makes no sense. she gets hot and steamy while stitching his bullet hole after he broke in her clinic at gun point. No mention of worry of aids or std. I know it’s fiction but she’s a vet. The set up is unrealistic

Okay…everything I criticized in the first book…. We literally start of with a bang. lol there is more character development and we do learn more about Xander. The author definitely improved the writing. The first book was good but this is even better….

Dnf. It was an interesting premise but the execution just felt very “off” I’m just left super confused what the issue is. Not sure why she would be labeled a “rat” for stealing money. Maybe they should’ve made the storyline that someone went to the police. The siphoning of funds makes no sense. Why would they need her and Luis to keep the books?! Why was she so resistant when learning they were her mates

Got this bc someone mentioned it was free. It’s an interesting premise but execution wise….given what she’s been through she’s a bit too “feisty” I don’t like unreasonably feisty heroines. I don’t understand why she’s so angry at them. Refusing to speak refusing to eat, especially given she knows …

Really trying to read this book. I’m 6% in and like the characters say what the f?!! lol the story was interesting the first few pages and now I’m just lost and confused. Everything is happening at a speed run and I don’t understand how I’m only 6% in…. Not sure why she’s so angry at her other mates. Doesn’t seem like they knew. I don’t recall aero actually rejecting her…

I’m struggling to finish this book right now. 50-60% of the book is really dragging. She wants to stay out here in the woods with him bc she is having mind blowing sex with this person she can’t communicate with and knows nothing about thee than he looks at her like he loves her and she has trauma from her cheating ex.

The book started off really interesting. I’m 60% in and her decisions make absolutely no sense. She’s literally been here 2 weeks and now is okay with living in the wilderness with these primative people who she can’t communicate with. She tried to leave for 2 seconds and bc the “hunters” were “poachers” now she is in the side of the cavemen bc they wanted the antlers?

So why all this stupid back and forth about her identity just to reveal what happened with the dad at the 75% mark? I mean I already figured that part out, but he hasn’t even been apart of the story other than we know the boys love him and he’s their idol but the has only mentioned maybe once or twice. I am hate reading at this point

Rant time! These guys are bumbling imbeciles! She has a stalker ex boyfriend who she had to change her identity for and someone breaks into her hotel room that no one knows she’s staying at. And all they have to say is, oh that’s weird! Oh well and go about their day? How stupid are they? And they always have to “take a call” and leave for an urgent meeting.

I’m trying so hard to finish this book but…. And I hate to say this. It’s so boring. I usually finish this authors books in hours. Like even when I’m bored I would rather rewatch an episode of a show I’ve watched a million times than finish reading this book or doom scroll on YouTube and Facebook. This story is nonsensical and I absolutely love this author so not sure what happened here
