the story is surprinsingly and unrelelnting sexist and based in a lot of gender essentialism. It also is not very interesting both a a heist, a mystery or a sociological plot.

I truly hope this story change, because it has been such a chore to read. Anya, in the entire story, has never had a roadblock, a loss, a small setback. All her skills are on point, she had her own spiritual guide who read Ren like a book, so what it matter if she is "dumb"? Has never been defeated and with both hyper regeneration and a miracle doctor, damage is a moot point.

She is boring. Truly bland.

Its been less than 5 months and not only all the residents are accostumed to this new Utopia and uplifted animals to the point its everyday life in new Bengalooru, but it already has applications for international students? When it lost like 80% of its territory willingly?

What. A. Bullshit.

Its a very interesting story, and stephanie is a marvel. I kind of like how conflicted the MC is, but at the same time, I feel like there were many ideas that the story wants to work with but its being hamstrung by the war and more by the compressed time, with taking barely a month and half from beginning to end

Seriously? Again the on-screen death of the second host is about a badly optimized douchebag who got killed by having his head splashed? this keep doesnt' working because a) we don't know the guy to feel anything about his death and b) the narration direclty paint him as an asshole who more or less had it coming. Even as a sense of danger it doesn't work because they guy and the other asshole are barely outlines

I'm going to be honest, the way this death was telegraphed and put to make the situation tense, along with the fight and the police... it was bad. It was contrived and since we never even started to care (and it was obvious the guy was put as a douche to be killed by the author) it all felt flat.

I hope the next section is better, because this part killed a lot of my excitement for this story.

I get that Anya is stressed, but my god, that is a shit way to make first impressions. In the span of less than 5 minutes, she had mocked her first ally: looks, personality, interest, intelligence, capabilities and have pretty much called him a fucking creep. Who the fucks does that? She can't like him, but the way she is presenting is so condescending and entitled is only plot armor that he is even cordial

I'm at 12% and so far, so good. Nothing noteworthy but nothing terrible, but I think part of my enjoyment of the book is Stephanie Savannah marvelous narration. I just vibe with this narrator for some reason.

This is some bullshit false advertismente. 2 hours in and we have pure survival mode a la Carl with some terrible comedy

I think the reason why I don't like Bree is because she is a blatant plot ticket, so Fin keep getting in other people business. The fact that is also using her age and trauma by part of the author its what annoys me the most. Its railroading so nakedly that it takes me out of the story. She needs to save everybody, all the time, just like his brother. But the only who is having any character development is Finch.

Its amazing how much I don't like Bree. Because she is wonderfully written as a child that is traumatized by her mothers death and all her actions are very well stated and presented.

But fuck me, escort stories with children can become such a shore. As in, I know why she is crying about not saving the dog, its amazing how the actor is portraying her sadness and yeah, it makes absolute sense. But...

What a good narrator, but holy shit

Okay, it s a very good retelling with a very nice twist of the characters. Hera, who is both as bruta as Zeus but with the ability of hindsight and empathy; Herakles, who is the most pious individual but so passive that you can get why his tales got so twisted and having a middle age dad body because "having divine strenght doesn't allow you to put it to train it meaningfully" was amazing.

So this is my second Herakles story. The first one, also called Herakles, was a masterpiece. This net of all the conflicting stories of Herakles, recounted by everybody except the man himself. Now we get this story from the look of her most ardent enemy, which sounds delightful

I'm going to be rea. I have no recollection whatsoever of having ever read this book. I didn't even knew it existed until I found the audiobook version online, but I guess I did? I hope that since this is the audio, it would leave a better impression.

Ok, but this is quality. Honestly, if there were other male characters and there was a reason why half of the characters wanted to fuck Vin besides "He is the MC of a harem", this would be peak. At least Vince its not this bland self-insert, that helps a lot

This book is going so well. I honestly think this would be one of the best paranormal urban fantasy I had read in years and the narrator Savannah is amazing. So far, so good

This is so goddamn tedious

Im only at the 13 percet and the author sounds already annoyed by the timeloop premise. None of the are repetitions are being described already and the skill grinding is so bloated that it has become just words in a sheet with no thematic weight. Kind of baffling. I loved it so far but I don't think it will last.

Boy, Myne is truly, stupenduosly stupid and selfish. Its amazing. I have never seen a character with so much OP protection since The Dark Hero Revenge. She is truly beloved by the gods, no other reason why, if this is her acting like this with over 2 decades of life and so much knowledge, is incapable of any forethought and wisdom.

9/10. High int-Low Wis character

I'm genuinely starting to love graphic audio. This book is fantastic. The direction is impecable, the acting is great and the background music has been so far in point.

When I read the reviews that said that the book was mostly show, that the narrator continually describes the emotions and reactions instead of the characters living them... it kind of soured the book more than a little. Its true. Its 90% infodump huh?
