Henry Clay had a gripping control over the House. It's very interesting to read about how such a skillful orator he was. He always found a way to persuade the House to get what he wanted done through his strong command of the English language and his use of political capital in his favor. Whenever opposition arose, he would use House rules to shut them down.

Henry Clay was undoubtedly a superb orator. His ability to capture an audience's full attention and sway them to his side helped push him to the top as a lawyer. He seems like he was a good man, but his thirst for recognition and fame ultimately hindered him from achieving his full potential.

Amazing. Still loving it. Lots of plot twists.

I didn't realize how loved Teddy Roosevelt was by the American people until I started reading this chapter!
