This being the last McGee story, it has been an interesting start and just got much more interesting.

Andy Serkis does an unsurprisingly great job on this narration as well!

Well here it is. The final Travis McGee novel. It's been over 10 years since I began reading this series. The length of time is due to many different reasons, but the main one is that I was using this series as a sort of palette cleanser between long epic fantasy reads. Almost every McGee book has been phenomenal, and even then MacDonald is still quotable in the more mediocre McGee stories. On to the final stretch...

So I started this book about a week ago, and I am very far into the story already. I've enjoyed this book just as much as the prior 2 books. Once again, Andy Serkis is the perfect narrator!

It's great to be rereading this series, and even better to be listening to Andy Serkis narrate it. The moment I heard Gollum speak for the first time in the latter half of the book, I was transported back to 2001-2002 when Andy Serkis played Gollum in the films. This format is absolutely incredible.

I seem to be a little slow getting through this book, but it's not the fault of the plot. It's another great premise for a plot that sucks you in once it gets moving. And the stakes are some of the most personal for the main characters of this series. I'm looking forward to following along the rest of the way

Finished book 6 (my favorite of the series) and so I'm jumping straight into the last.

Onwards to book 5. I'm really enjoying this re-read.

Only 3 more books to go in this 21 book series. I'm not sure what to expect, and that's a good thing.

This has to be one of the most compelling Travis McGee stories yet. It's very different from the majority of the other stories simply by it's plot, but also we get to see a layer of McGee that isn't always apparent in the other stories. I would say most of the McGee stories are page-turners, but this might be the most worthy of that moniker. I'm eager to keep reading this one!

I've been wanting to re-read the Harry Potter series for years now, and I figured this year would be a good year to listen to the series on Audible. Starting book 1 today!

Already halfway done with this book, and it's pretty good so far.

Another McGee novel read, and another one to start.

The 2nd story is much more interesting than the 1st in my opinion. This may be because I think the focus character is more interesting himself than the 1st. Either way, I enjoyed it more, but I think the 3rd one might be better...
