The 2nd story is much more interesting than the 1st in my opinion. This may be because I think the focus character is more interesting himself than the 1st. Either way, I enjoyed it more, but I think the 3rd one might be better...

I enjoyed the 3rd story as much as the 2nd, as it provides a little background of some happenings that you don't get in the trilogy proper.

Hmmmm, the 1st of the 3 stories is interesting I guess, but nothing that made my jaw drop. There is one big reveal, but again I don't think it's really anything completely mind-blowing. We shall see if the 2nd does better...
