Decided to try the audiobook version of this book.
Loving the story but, what an epic mistake choosing the audiobook. The narrator ruined the story. She made the male characters sound like they had sharp sticks stuffed up their butts.
Going to get the physical book instead. The audiobook is horrible.

I like when things are not over explained but early on I am already feeling like things are not being explained or described enough.
I don’t want to have to be led by the nose, but enough description to let me feel the story and become more invested would be nice.

Initial reaction based on the first chapter... “oh no... this is going to suck”

At 80% I am kind of hating Malcom. Never thought I would see the day, but he is a total ass hat so far. :(

I am 27% and considering stopping altogether because holy mother of racism and stereotypes.
Between the Rastafarian "drug" dealer, the repeated mention of Tara's skin colour and the following quote I am kind of grossed out.
"...I learned early on you never want to hear those words come from a black woman."
