This one is taking me quite some time as, while it is excellent, it is also full of "and then they tortured him/her horrifically in this detailed way". Bit of a heavy read. Monarchies are a nightmare.

I keep picking it up and putting it down. It's a library read, so this week it's either finish or DNF for real.

Oh God, this book is breaking my soul to bits.

This book has almost exclusively 5 star reviews and 1 star reviews. But nearly all 5 stars. So, that's of note.

I want to reread this as I'm about to read James, and it has been nearly three decades since I last read this.

Audiobooking this one so I can listen to the excellent voices (mostly Tom Hanks).

Uh. Some major suspension of disbelief required on some of these characters. Also, at several points I have muttered things like "they were on horses and suddenly they're in a Jeep... Where the hell did the horses go? Who's feeding the horses?" Lots of dropped plot points so far.

I'm struggling with the premise that a guy with a full time job at a law firm is capable of maintaining three separate relationships. When does this dude sleep? Oh, and his mother is sick. So he's working, caring for his mother, and three women see him so regularly they think he's their boyfriend.

Oh the irony of a book about the damage of online harassment being reviewed with one star by people who didn't read it because something the author said several years ago.

It's a good book, though maybe too long. TBD.

I'm starting to feel like this is a 300 page book written as a 436 page book....

This is a great story about loving complicated kids. Audiobooking it and it's very well performed.

At this point I'm hoping Dolly and Lola fall in love. I genuinely don't think it will happen as nobody has shown the slightest inclination against being fully straight, but a reader can hope.

DNF. Way too lady porn-y.

This book cover and title does not do the book justice. It's a thoughtful, considerate look at the intricacies of human flaws. It looks like a fluffy, perky read. It's instead a sincere consideration of optimism and pessimism and the motivation behind each.

Doing the audiobook. Fascinating so far!

Exit West has been my favorite book so far this year, so giving this a shot. This book is written in second person, which takes a little mental adjustment.

Excuse the language... But this book is fucking intense. I am making more progress every night due to being unable to land on a pleasant scene to end on before bed.

I need somebody to tell me if this story involves some awful rape scenario. Currently paralyzed into reading pause because I keep assuming her dad is going to rape her and give me nightmares. HELP, Goodreads friends!

I have been hoarding this book like a favorite candy bar for over a year and decided last night that it is time to finally bask in it and crack the spine. :)

This is a tough read. It is am entirely unflinching look at the South, and it stings a little.
