This book is simply written (from the memory of children) and short enough to read in one sitting but is devastating!

A really great coming of age story about finding out who people really are and not expecting them to be who you want them to be, who you imagine them to be. A story about finding your people.

Such an important book!
In years to come people will read this, people that don’t remember the pandemic, and they won’t believe the fear, the hard work, the love & the sorrow....they also won’t believe the utter incompetence of the government! The first part of this book feels like a movie, these times will be hard to believe for people who weren’t here.
Hopefully many more books like this will be written.

About 2/3 through this book I thought it was just another chick-lit read, nothing bad about that but nothing amazing....by the end I had cried a few times and fallen in love with Lily and I want to give her a hug for being such a strong woman!!! Amazing book. 😍
