I'm done with the first two parts but I can feel myself starting to slow down and I kinda want to read something lighter so I'm going to take a break from it.

Truthfully the only reason I will probably return to this book is the wlw enemies to lovers sub plot going on.

Since I already read the priory of the orange tree and this is a prequel I pretty much know how everything is going to end

Idk if it's because I'm already familiar with the world but so far I like the pacing of this book a lot better than priory

I love Neil Gaiman's writing and the plot is giving me Alice and wonderland vibes except even more dark and twisted

I was having a lot of fun rereading the death note manga but I'm considering skipping this volume in my reread of the series entirely. The only thing keeping me reading is the fact I want to understand what exactly I don't like about it? Death note is still my favorite manga series so I wonder what this volume is lacking from the others that makes it less entertaining for me

I really enjoyed this book in the beginning but the middle is starting to drag a bit for me. I feel like the author set up a lot of interesting elements but I'm waiting and waiting for these elements to come into play in a notable way for the characters. I need something in the plot to catch my attention soon to keep my interest

I don't usually read historical fiction but I was immediately sucked into this story! I have been reading a lot of wlw romance lately but this one already set itself apart with it's beautiful writing and the backdrop of 1950s San Francisco

The writing is a little cheesy at times but this is a debut novel and I love the premise so I'm going to see where it goes. A nerdy recent astrology PhD grad marries a gorgeous spontaneous storyteller after a drunk night in Vegas. I love Yuki as a character and their relationship seems fun and cute so far
