I really enjoyed this book in the beginning but the middle is starting to drag a bit for me. I feel like the author set up a lot of interesting elements but I'm waiting and waiting for these elements to come into play in a notable way for the characters. I need something in the plot to catch my attention soon to keep my interest

I don't usually read historical fiction but I was immediately sucked into this story! I have been reading a lot of wlw romance lately but this one already set itself apart with it's beautiful writing and the backdrop of 1950s San Francisco
