When does this pick up? I am finding this slow going.

Ron's read.

I'm enjoying this read so far, I hadn't been able to read for a week or so but was easily and comfortably able to sink back into Kate and Tully's lives.

Ron's read.

"Realistic is me being a smart woman who can’t get a job at anything better than minimum wage because I have no education and all I’ve done is raise kids. Believe me, Katie, you don’t want to be realistic at your age."

Things have got real interesting.

"And which is worse—to be despised, or to be ignored?"

"The very idea of schooling used to be about learning so that we could improve our lives and the world. But a perfect world needs no improvement. Like most everything else we do, education, from grade school through the highest of universities, is just a way to keep us busy."

What a dreadful thought.

"Rumor was, though, that they were working on ways to reset right down into the teens—which Rowan found ridiculous. Why would anyone in their right mind want to be a teenager more than once?"

Isn't that the truth?

Slow going for me lately. Not the fault of the book, the others I read in 3-4 days.

Family read. Both Ron and I are currently reading.

I have missed the humor of this series.

"Always assume the simplest answer is the true one, here, because most of the time, it will be."

Lots of deplorable, ugly treatment by some of the female characters. Yes, for the most part, this behavior propels the story but wish it wasn't so prevalent. These are not teenagers, they are adults, some are even the mothers who do this in a misguided effort to protect their child.

Certainly more invested, I didn't want to put it down last night.
