So far this is giving me the vibes of if The Princess Bride was a circa 2015 series on Syfy (in a mostly complimentary way)

After a few days of tumblr memes I decided to follow along with Dracula Daily this year!

Re-reading the novellas so I can finally catch up on the series! Can't wait.

I cannot believe this is a debut novel.

My first Heyer mystery and super enjoying how the genre switch takes the hijinks out of the romance and into the whodunit instead.

Look, I get she's getting manipulated at best, controlled at worst (take off that damn amulet!) but I'm not sure how much more I can take of our heroine accidentally on purpose killing people and disfiguring children....I think I'll skim read the rest of this and move on to book 4.

I flew through the first two books in 2.5 days TOTAL but have only made it through 11% of this one in the same amount of time. The nature of this one's plot has me too stressed by half.

Jeez Louise. What a book to just pick up w/o reading the blurb.

I don't know why I waited so long to read this (another case of basing my vibe off the cover rather than reading the blurb perhaps?) but a Much Ado About Nothing retelling set in Prohibition NYC? Yes, please. This is delightful so far.
