I know reviews are mixed, but If I’m at 27% and I’m bored out of my mind, does anyone know if it gets any better from here?

I’m trying really hard not to give up on this one. It’s so drawn out. I really hope it picks up soon!

Been waiting forever for the audio version for this to come out and it finally has! Listening now while sort of getting things done around the house. Hopefully this will be like his last few books and draw me in so much that I'll forget that I'm cleaning and doing laundry!

If only everyone could do characters like Karin Slaughter. So many good books would be outstanding...

So for so good. Not what I expected, but I am curious as to what’s going on.

It’s usually a good sign when secondary-ish characters in a novel start getting under my skin. I’m not a violent person, but I really want to knock the wife of her righteous little pedestal.

I’m definitely hooked, but the self-righteousness is nauseating.

Wow! This is so, so good. Exactly what I needed!

It was a struggle to get this far and I just had to stop. Based on all the stellar reviews I may came back one day, but right now it’s going back on the shelf.

I’m going to shelve this for now and try and come back. I’ve started this several times, but I’m just not in the mood for something slow. Does it stay slow the whole time? How long until you get sucked in?

I know I’m not even halfway in, but the way law enforcement and medical professionals are acting seems off? Is this something I need to just get past to enjoy the rest of the book?

Just kidding! The 1st in the series is “what she knew”. I have read that and it was a very memorable 5 star book. That being said, So far this is a great stand alone! I’ll have to read her other novel, “perfect girl” next!

Wow, just started and I’m hooked. I just learned that this is the second in a series, but I’m too into it to stop and read that one first. A rarity for me.

The book is great so far, but the defense team are horrible investigators. Would no one think to DNA check the underwear to see who it belongs to? It's driving me crazy!

Im kind of sad, I like to like the protagonist, flaws and all, but this woman is atrocious to her family and daughter.

Chapter 9: Wow, she's not a very good mom. The way she treats her daughter makes me sad!
