I LOVE this series! "He was wearing a voluminous leopard-print muumuu that must have had enough fabric in it to gift wrap the Empire State Building. Earrings the size of hubcaps were screwed into his earlobes. His bowling ball size head was encased in a turban that perfectly matched the muumuu. A single peacock feather protruded from the top like a TV antenna." I laugh till the tears come. :)

This is a long ass book and I find I want to skim a bit to get to the relationship parts, so I read some reviews to reassure myself and came across one that said the prose was florid, which can mean excessively ornate or showy - yep, it is that on occasion! But I'm soldiering on.

Love it so far!

Slow start to this story

I'm really liking this, the writing smooth as butter and the mystery plot has me guessing as usual.

A tough read so far, looking for something more upbeat soon.

I love this already! "Just think of what you know about the kind of people who go fly fishing and drive cattle and then put me in the middle of that vision. I'm probably going to experience a hate crime here."

Geez, after the sadness of the beginning I'm now laughing my ass off. Love this story! I think this author may have a surprise in store for me.

This story is sooo good. I'm frightened, I'm laughing, and so annoyed I have a lot to do today besides read.

Intense!!! OK, Shaw has his telephone with him, I just know he will do the right thing...eventually. Bites fingernails!

Chose to read this book next late last night and today saw The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo at the theater. Sat down this evening to read this book (which I hadn't read the blurb on in a while) and OMG, it another serial killer. Just can't do two of these in one day, lol. On hold for now.

Why of why did I wait so long to read this???
