Uh...my reading challenge tells me I'm 5 books behind schedule....but this book isn't really helping. Struggling quite a bit with this one. Too many very long passages where not all that much is happening.

Loving this so far... great writing!

Only have about 2 hours left on my audiobook and can't wait to start my lunch break to finally pop in my headphones again and carry on listening! No clue how this book's gonna end!

... But a book can also be where one finds itself; and when a reader is grasped and held by a book, reading does not feel like an escape from life so much as it feels like an urgent, crucial dimension of life itself.

Only just started, but....a zombie-fish attack?!? And we're not talking about some deep sea monster with teeth the size of a small car, but about a dainty little exotic fish in an office aquarium.
After developing some supernatural Zombie power and bursting it's own tank, it is flopping around on the carpet (and probably going "grrr-gnaw-gnaw") and making a bee-line to the next perfectly able-bodied human. ROFL

Slow progress, but wow! - these stories range from really good to excellent!

Bought this book used (a bit more mangled than the seller described, tsk tsk) and it's got a personal inscription: apparently, Mum gave this book as a Christmas present to Stacy to remind her of the time in beautiful Italy!
Just love finding things like that!

Not much has happened up to now.... but boy! The author really wants to bring across how life as a woman who's "pushing forties" sucks! Big time! Well, pardon my French, but dear author: f*** you very much! Your 38-year old female reader!

About to read the last installment and can't wait to know how the series will end! Really have no idea where this southern soap opera with a horror twist is going!

Hmm, up to now the supposedly scary witch had a dishcloth put on her head and ran against a lamppost.... Not really the stuff of nightmares!

Easy to see why this book is often quoted as a source of inspiration by writers like Stephen King and Neil Gaiman!

This is my current audiobook and I'm only about 2 hours in, but I have absolutely no! idea! what's going on! There's some twisted version of Rumpelstiltskin, something happens in a South American country and now it's about old people reflecting on their lives?? Well, let's see where this goes!
