Ugh. Multi POV and I am having a hard enough time finding this interesting as it is.

I take back that I said this was boring.

This is pretty boring. Usually, a book has 60 pages to get me hooked before I move on. Giving this one some grace but being over 100 pages and still feeling unmotivated is really something. This is why I don't do Kindle Unlimiteds.

This is surprisingly delicious. Full review will follow.

This is good but I’m losing my reading momentum.

The anxiety this provokes is unreal. I’ve been speed-reading to try and pin the culprit of the disease that is tearing this manor to pieces like it’s a damn crime novel. “THE MOLD HAS DONE IT! THE LAKE IS A SUSPECT!” Good stuff.

So far, no men are turning into birds.

I did not intend to read two books, back to back, about birds who turn into men or vice versa, but apparently I am. Weird coincidence.

Savoring this like a sugar drenched pear.

A gentle ride, but a ride nonetheless.

My children have claimed my iPad so, this gets read when I can manage. Some parts drag. The author wants you to know the island as he knows it, but you can only spend so many pages basically describing a map before I lose interest.

I would have loved to have read this between Nov-Jan because it just depicts the cold bramble of the season but what a good read so-far!

I'm sorry.
I had a baby and then I had a flood and then I had a surgery and things are only beginning to settle down this year. It's been absolute craziness.

But the hope is that once everything gets back to its faux-normal, half-functioning but typical mess, I will go back to pulling real numbers for my yearly challenges and reading so ravenously that I'm practically abusing my ARCs.

It has been so long since I have read something so beautiful that bits and pieces give me butterflies...

If I don't finish this tonight, I will be shocked.
