Not Adventist women getting their first shout-out as practitioners of the Fascinating Womanhood workshops. 😬😬😬

Jump scare: Frederick Christ Trump has entered the chat. (Yes, that's HIS father. And yes, that's his name. Do you feel some things falling into place?) 😬😬😬

I've made it through the introduction, and I guarantee this book is gonna WRECK ME.

"Here it is. Validation. Here's my chance to show them."

This might be the most honest thing West has ever written. I'd argue this is her raison d'être for her public image, and as she starts deconstructing it in the book, is quite a sad way to live personally.

No, Lindy, a man outsourcing his own damn emotional responsibilities to TWO women is not the ideal polyamorous setup. 😬😬😬😬😬

I'm alternating between awe at the absolute raw honesty and cringing at the ill-defined relationship boundaries that is this book.

Out of all the publicized bits, NOBODY warned me that Giannis Antetokounmpo gets a mention here! Lindy gets annoyed at a man for disrespecting Giannis (during the '21 championship run, no less!), and it is giving me life.

Well, here goes nothing.

This book is adorable and hilarious. The tension is also already crackling, and I'm very excited.

Oh, good Lord. This plot twist is beyond MAWKISH. It's telling that, in a sea of generalizations and white saviorism, I'm actually personally offended by this latest plot point. Like, it's TOO MUCH.

Yikes on bikes.

Um, WUT.

"We had hoped for so many things."

This chapter is kicking me in the pants. I am in tears, but Sarah Bessey is exactly who I needed to read in this moment in time.

Just started the chapter titled "Fear," and it felt apropos, tonight of all nights. I hate feeling sick with grief and fear.

How do you cite a specific Beyoncé world tour and then GET THE DISCOGRAPHY WRONG? How did the editing team also miss this? As an academic, I always fact-check myself when it comes to pop culture data like this.

I'm sorry, the antidote to the poisonous Darcy myth is the film, DIRTY DANCING???? THEE Dirty Dancing where a man in his late 20s seduces a teenaged girl? OKAY THEN.

This book is deeply unserious.

Comparing Adam Levine's 2022 setting scandal to Mr. Darcy is...a choice.

She's *upset* that Wickham was paid off to marry Lydia, and it's colored her view of P&P in a way that is harmful and reductive, in my opinion. And as unsavory a choice as marrying Wickham might be, it's not like Lydia had other, better options, particularly since she ran off with Wickham OF HER OWN ACCORD. Tess of the D'urbervilles, anyone?

Insulting The Monk is a red flag. Don't listen to her! Read it: it's hilarious. (A man so depraved that Satan rejects him? GOLD. Lisa Vanderpump weeps in envy)

I realize I'm gonna be THAT "Okay, Boomer" academic, but...misspelling Georgiana Darcy's name when you have a supposed expertise AND AN EDITOR is just sloppy.

I'm sorry, Dr. Feder has hit her head confused Mr. Darcy with the millions of Byronic "heroes," who are, in her own words, right there.

I'M READY TO GET HURT AGAIN

Rest in peace, good Sir.

This is a weird thing to say, but there's just so much SPACE in this book. I've discovered that technology and space are just not enjoyable for me. Gonna stick with Monk and Robot.

Mosscap CRACKS ME UP. That is all.

I'm feeling festive, dagnabbit.

This chapter on lament cut me to the core. So, so important.

"You want your heart back, girl? Go get it."

Heart-eye emojis.
