Ugh, Meghan is crying again. I'm getting tired of reading her sob story.

I've read about 35% of the book and it's getting boring. The main character just keeps on mooning, fantasizing, or gets depressed when she doesn't get to see the object of her affection. Come on, I want to see more action.

Here we go, deep breath. Hoping this won't be a totally waste of time.

I'm tired of Clary envying Isabelle's looks. "Her mascara was smudged but she still looks like a French film star." (Lame)

Why am I torturing myself when I clearly didn't like the book before this. It's because I've paid for it, so it should be read or skimmed over at least, when I impulsively bought the whole series and thought the first one was decent. Well, I've got to learn, not to buy all at once next time.

Really? Really? I take back what I said that it's getting interesting. This is getting too corny.

Gah, so much Jace and Clary drama again. It's getting old.

Seems to be a lot better than the previous books. Hope this keeps up.

Something gory going on but I'm reading with glee. Madness!

It's finally out! Been waiting for this. So excited.

Typographical error: "This fortress is an abandon tomb of the Carens." It should be : abandoned tomb..

We suddenly learn one of the pirates have some kind of power and I'm confused if it's an innate talent or through the use of a weapon. It gets confusing at this point. Then the princess' reaction to someone's passing is to think about how exhausted she was or lacking sleep and not showing some sort of grief for someone who had helped her survive. Hmm, not liking this shallowness.

I'm liking these pirates, the princess is definitely in good company. Would love to know more about Anne's sword, it seems it has great power. Storam is an interesting character, perhaps they'll encounter him again?

Ohh, this is getting exciting. Liking the fast-paced narration & action so far.

On the first paragraph, I stumbled while reading: "if they took the bother of inviting..." Next paragraph: "and had not made the bother of issuing a summons..." It might have been a smoother read if it just simply said: and have not issued a summons or have not bothered issuing. Of course that's just my opinion and personal taste.
