My research says

Marlo Morgan's book, Mutant Message Down Under, is widely considered a hoax and a fabrication by the Australian Aboriginal community and experts. It was originally marketed as a true story but has since been re-labeled as a novel (fiction) by publishers due to the controversy.

Fabricated Journey: Aboriginal groups in Central and Western Australia found no evidence of Morgan's presence or people.

Jeeez just read the prologue....can't stand this White privilege qnd superiority and odesity to talk about indigenous Austealians like this.... what do you expect from an American (doctor) author writing about indigenous Australians and Australia.

Also the term "aboriginal" is not politically correct....

It's indigenous Australians or indigenous people of Australia....
