She behaves like a 17-yo-ish girl (at best) running for a damsel in distress award and the guy consistently calls her and her fellow cadets 'kids' which makes me feel icky about their relationship. I'm seriously considering to just dnf this here.

This is so much fun, I am constantly grinning and cackling.

Holy shit, I cannot believe how good this book is and that I just had sitting on my digital shelf for like two years.

Oh boy was I not prepared for the amount of pain and trauma in this book. Will write a CW if I make it to the end but definitely check if there's a list somewhere if you are sensitive in regard to certain topics. Yes, there's found family, cuddling and attempts to heal but the wounds cut deep...

Dnf-in at 39%. I can't get over how pushy and toxic the main character seems with how he is constantly withholding information and basically exploiting the vulnerable position of the much younger and mostly clueless "partner".

Dnf-ing this. Too problematic and it doesn't get resolved (which I know because I peeked at the ending and read other reviews)... So yeah, I'm getting this off my reading pile even though I only have 22% left but it would just be annoying me.

I have so many issues with this book, I am dnf-ing it now before I get too mad. Mostly, I just really wish this would have been edited and proofread properly. There are way too many spelling, grammar, punctuation and word choice errors as well as logical problems. And I just don't believe the immediate switch from "abused and closed off" to "utterly open and relaxed". Also, I think the romance is problematic.

So I didn't get how their relationship just did a whole 180. Suddenly they're having sex and decide they stop disliking each other from one second to the next...? dnf-ing this now... ^^

This book is super confusing. They just suddenly go from hating/not trusting each other to some weird kind of insta love and trust and there are too many species and races for me to keep track of especially since most of them just get name-dropped in their without it having any discernable benefit for/impact on the story? Also: it's space, why does a non-human race believe in ancient Greek gods?

I really wanted to like it but the names do seem pointlessly weird (which I could sort of forget about because they only come up occasionally) but the horrible, abusive and exploitative societal structures that not a single character seems to question and the utter lack of chemistry between Twig and Quinn are making this book a chore for me to finish. I'm at 75 % and it just seems to go on forever. Might dnf yet.

I'm dnf-ing this because it's starting to feel like a chore. Alpin and Mal are kinda cute together and I enjoyed the big bad wolf falls for a bunny idea but the insta love relationship just isn't doing it for me and there's too little happening plot-wise to keep me interested. So rather than force my way through, I'll stop here. Other people have loved it though, so it's probably an 'it's me and not the book' thing.

Ugh, the characters are interesting but I am really struggling with the power imbalance. <spoiler>Emmett relies on Ryker to introduce him to all aspects of shifter reality and culture. I can sort of (if with difficulty) understand why the first meeting went the way it did, but I have no patience for Ryker just giving Emmett the mate bite now -- without explanation or a chance to consent. :/ </spoiler>

I like the concept and am invested in Wyatt's story but some of his plans seem very pointless and are just hard to read. Maybe I am getting too old for ya books.

I've been stuck at 67% for a while now because I feel that there's a lull in the story (both plot and relationship development wise) and while the first two books seemed to have a good length, I feel that this one is just way too long and really could have been much shorter. But maybe that's mostly due to me not really caring about Auk's perspective? XD

Ok, I made it to page 163 on May 27, 2020. That was over a year ago and since then I haven't felt the desire to return to the story. I guess it's just not for me (at least not right now). Maybe I'll get back to it someday but for now I'm dnf-ing it. It just didn't grip me and while some details were interesting, I struggled to become invested in the characters or general story line.

Dnf at 41%. I'm just not at all interested in most of the POVs.

So far I love Avery and his mother but the whole 'omega's are barely more than property and can't control themselves' is giving me the creeps. How Graeme just assumes things is beyond icky and reflects very terribly on their whole society and social norms. I'm torn between disgust and anger. Wtf.
