I’ve read 60% of this today and I wanna finish it but I’m so sleepy 🫪 this book has been so good omg

every time Chaol enters it makes me want to put the book down. his slick mouth gives sanctimonious-uppity-morally superiority complex having-delusional teas… but his thoughts are giving whiney little cry baby man child. he’s acting like everything is Aelin’s fault but takes no accountability of ANYTHING he’s done or supported previously. PICK A SIDE HOE!

I see why the Assassin’s Blade is read after heir of fire only because some of the lore that didn’t make sense importance wise, would make more sense right neooow. but it’s alllll coming back to me now.

I’m kinda sad because I accidentally saw a spoiler on insta that revealed who ends up together and I was SO happy that I didn’t know and it kinda discouraged me the last couple days to read. :/ but I’m gonna continue on

these people fall “in love” with whoever gives them the slightest bit of attention or affection. PLEASE! spare these fictional characters from the bare minimum, somebody!!!! the whole lot of the men are getting on my damn nerves in this book.

this book is giving Nesta teas so much. like SJM has a way of breaking her characters down to really get to the root of their pain or deepest shame or feelings or whatevs. it’s tough to read because we all carry some semblance of this.
in other news, Rowan is being a stinker butt meanie head but I guess?? it’s for a reason..??

these new characters are really shaking this shieeeet UP! manon… TEA so far… Rowan… unlikable currently but I think he’ll be a grower. the general? gag!
her mental and morale is soooo low in this one :/ I can’t wait for her to get her spark back
