This story by Faith Hunter is bunk. Way too complicated. You need to have read her other stories to gain what's happening in this paramilitary supernatural world.

Kim Harrison's story is set in her world of The Hollows. It's about a demon trying to enslave a wizard who keeps calling the demon in a pentagram. Cool idea but needed to finish more of the story.

Maurice Broaddus's story is about someone helping a ghost get back at some white supremacists. Good idea but not the best execution. The story seemed to be missing some connective tissue.

Delilah Dawson's story is about a woman who suddenly discovers she's a witch and has the power to get even with the man who cheated on her sister.

Tanya Huff's story is about a vampire tracking down someone who tortured and killed a friend of his, just to draw him out.

Holly Black's story was OK. It's about an older woman living in NY when her husband dies. In the same world, a vampire outbreak is happening. She hatches a plan to get away when her kids turn out to be pieces of work.

The Jim Butcher story about Goodman Grey was fun.

Kevin Hearne's story was about a coven of witches in Poland getting revenge on telemarketers for scamming one of their grandmothers.

Yikes this has dialogue in it like "too leaderful".

I love the tag across the top of the last issue. #80 in a four-issue limited series. Genius.

It so nice to settle in with old friends like Harry Dresden and catch up.

Yeah, Love After Death was as good as I remembered. Jones's artwork works terrifically for Deadman. Of course, he sometimes gave Deadman about 30 ribs but it's OK here where it's not with Batman.

This is odd that it's called Deadman by Kelley Jones and not Deadman by Kelley Jones and Mike Baron as Mike Baron wrote all of this.

These stories continue to be horrible. DC Finest, my ass. The Congorilla story in Jimmy Olsen was at least tolerable.

Man, these Lois Lane stories are hard to take. I can't believe how women were written back then. Hopefully Jimmy Olsen's are a little better.

So I had a thought since GR is getting rid of direct messaging. Does anyone want to be in a group for the sole purpose of being able to message one another? Because you can still send messages to groups.

It's interesting that the guy who took over for art from Jack Kirby, Jay Gavin, was actually a pseudonym for Werner Roth. He's the artist for like half of this.

I can only read one issue at a time. It's so hard to not go to sleep while Stan Lee drones on and on. Magneto is a huge prick and can astral project. I'm not sure Stan knows how magnetism works.

Just got back into reading this. They guy who plays the mayor went down to pet a cat one night after filming which turned out to be a skunk and got sprayed. That is hilarious!

These stories are terrible. How is this DC's Finest? This is exactly what I was afraid of when I saw they were publishing this Silver Age stuff.
