It's been more than 25 years since I first read this (I wasn't much older than Sabriel then). I was worried it wouldn't hold up, but so far, I'm completely sucked in. Such an interesting world.

This book is so delightful!

Last night, I was trying to decide which book from my pile I should read next. I thought I would read the first page or two of a few of them to see what struck me. This was the first book I picked up, and 40 pages later, it was clear that I wasn't going to consider any of the others from the pile this time. I think this will be a fast read. So far, I'm liking it more than the first book in the series, too.

I really can't stand JBF. Less horrible politics, more sciency, life-saving stuff! This current section bouncing back and forth between her and the other plot event is so painful. It's still well done, but I can't wait to get to the end of this section.

These essays are delightful!

This one had a very slow start, but now it's really going places. I am especially enjoying the Olli and Kit sections.

I forgot how much humor this book has - so fun!
