Kelly Tharp is on page 275 of 341 of Ghost on the Throne: The Death of Alexander the Great and the War for Crown and Empire
Almost through this fascinating book on what happened to Alexander the Great's Empire after his death. How Ptolemy founded the last Egyptian dynasty, Athens continued fight for democracy and independence, and how Alexander's General's all fought for their piece of the Empire. Anyone who likes history will find this book excellent. The most difficult thing is keeping track of everyone names.

Done - fascinating read of the history of this mid-east area and it's peoples. A bit dry, but still an educational read that helps explain a great deal of what's going on today and the history of why. Author was very detailed as to the tribes, their areas of influence, and histories.

Finished House Harkonnen and now on to House Corrino. Brian has done a great job here of giving us more background on the main characters, their family histories, and the ever-plotting Bene Gesserat sisterhood.

Brian is doing an excellent job of carrying on the Dune stories. I was honored to meet him at a writers conference. Nice guy.

Huge book, very detailed on the history of this area starting before the 19th century. But a very educational book to read to understand some of what the cultures and political in fighting is about in that area of the world.

Kelly Tharp is on page 192 of 336 of Night Train to Rigel (Quadrail, #1)
Read book 2 by accident first as I had Mr Zahn autograph it at Dragon Con one year (Didn't have a book for him to sign with me so had to buy one in the book selling room and this one struck me). So now going back and reading book one in the series, then will jump to book 3.

Kelly Tharp is on page 24 of 320 of Cognitive and Perceptual Rehabilitation: Optimizing Function
Though I'm retired from being an Occupational Therapist after 46 years, I still enjoy learning about the brain and especially Perceptual dysfunction. Will read for enjoyment now.

This is one of those -takes forever to read - books. But if you want some good history of the mid east and where some of their long history of conflict comes from it's a fascinating read. It's also a difficult read due to all the long complicated names and titles of the historical figures that played a a big part in the mid east's history. But one I still recommend if you want to educate yourself on the mid east.

Love this so far. I've suba dived (doved?) with the big Pacific Octo's and they are smart, curious, and I never had a problem with one attacking. They do like to touch you and try to figure out what you are. Very impressive animals and the reason why to this date I've never eaten one. It would be like eating dog or cat. They're smart and kinda cute under the water.
