Nice and slow moving toward the end like King does best. Like the new girl.

Nice mix. I hope they stick with the sword staying with her and not make this an Arthur takes over thing.

I like all the takes on the Arthurian characters. Still a solid story. Hope it finishes that way.

We finally get to meet Morgan. They do a nice job with her.

Getting through the transformation of little girl to hardened badass.

So far I'm digging the takes on Merlin, Arthur, Uther. Hope our protagonist keeps developing.

Why they send students to the dark forest is still beyond me.

Frickin' Quidditch

School's finally going. Snape's a pain. Regular stuff.

Wish they'd stop bagging on Slytherin as being all bad. Slow part of the book.

The Aunt Lydia sections are by far my favorites at this point. The others have some hope, but the dentist scene doesn't actually give me a lot of hope for that. Seems too YA trope-ish at this point, but maybe they will develop.

Forgot how much they bag on Muggles in the first part of this book. Malfoy wasn't a giant turd to Harry from the beginning.

Forgotten how much the beginning of the first book reads like Roald Dahl.

Plot's alittle slow, but Rowell can stiill write like crazy.

Just when I was wondering when the conflict would start, VAMPIRE FIGHT!

Slow start. Interested we get back to some of the craziness of the Seven.

So the two narratives are coming together.

Kind of lags a bit, but a nice look at his background.

I was just going to read a little bit last night and got sucked in. If I hadn't had school the next morning, I would have finished it.

Kind of afraid that the resolution to the conflict is just going to be stupid. But we'll see.

So we start to see the conflict with the new group of scythes. Things need to start moving, though.

Didn't see that twist coming. Poor Rowen. He best resist.

So we are seeing the dark side of some of the scythes. Will be interesting when the two come together.

Really interesting concepts explored. I like that they still try to randomize death in a world where people could live forever. I think "Thunderhead" isn't the greatest name for the advanced "Cloud" but we'll see if it makes sense.

This gets off to a really quick start. So many questions about the world this book takes place in.

Pretty cool combination of mythology and the experiences of a young guy moving to the US.

Little too obvious but not bad. The binary exclusive part is a bit troubling.

Not bad. Not sure if it's right for class, but it's got a lot to offer so far.
