My "spooky" read for October this year

Wow I forgot how butt-kicking this book is

Love-love-love. I'm not sure I've ever read anything that had quite this effect on me before.

Absolutely loving this. Makes an excellent companion for a trip to Rome.

EMERGENCY. Had to return the audiobook to the library at the WORST POSSIBLE CLIFFHANGER. Currently freaking out and gazing impotently at my phone. 19 weeks' wait to continue....

The author is obviously a wonderful person. He writes in a way that does make the confusing world of investing accessible. But to me, because I feel I need to know this but I don't want to know this--because my brain doesn't work like this at all--reading this feels like beating my head against a brick wall.

Excited to reread this. I feel the need.

I don't usually track progress anymore, since I don't want to irritate my friends by overwhelming their feeds. But this book is SO far outside my normal interests and brain comfort zone that I'm gonna need that motivating bar to go up...😅

At this point I have several problems with the book, and it's getting harder to keep track of them all as I read, so I'll note some here:
1. Ethos
2. Gaps in the view he's presenting
3. He's committed to the idea of free will, which bleeds into his entire argument (telling us to read our Bibles without filters... that's a pretty big filter to strain out Rom. 9, which he never addresses at all)
