I have mixed feelings about this one. The subject matter makes it difficult to read.

This has taken a turn for the totally bats**t nuts! Why am I still reading it?

Take one part Fall of the House of Usher, one part Rebecca, and one part The Yellow Wallpaper, add a little Mexican chili. Dilute to taste....

Quite fun so far, but not a subtle book. A little heavy on the symbolism... So many references to snakes.... Don't eat the mushrooms....

This is a perfect Halloween read. I love a historical ghost story! I hope the ending doesn't let it down...
