Interesting read but so far about 3.5 star. Good enough to keep turning pages but feels predictable

Found at a library sale for $1. Good read for flight to Paris

Read the short story by Carver to see how the two reflected each other. Not so sure. This is reminding me of Strangers on a Train as the culprits rationalize all that they took part in. More a look at how religion can skew how we see the world and how God's plan permeates some thinking or belief.

I'm closing in on another DNF. Quite a drop from a 4 or 5 star to a 1 or 2. What happened?? Was this a rush to publish? I loved The Immortalists but this book is a reach too far for this author.

I'm starting to get upset with the author and her liberties. She has small great snipits of science but her premise of this world is lost on execution. It goes from science fiction to a kind of science fairly tale. Great but I wanted the world building to at least obey its own rules.

Lots of good info in this book but the premise is quite shaky. Loved first half and now am not so sure. It is losing me a little. Not quite science fiction edging into fantasy

Finding this a little disjointed in style. Not read Learner before and I've gotten lost in Chole Benjamin's new book on audio so I set this aside for now. I have the audio and the print so will get back to it soon. And it is short and has so many rave reviews. Who can ignore it.

Started out great. I am hooked by the intelligent use of references and reveal. Not exactly what I expected but I am loving it. 4 or 5 stars in the first 20%

Tried again but it just got too tedious and redundant discussing pregnancy in a 77 year old. Bad for health? abortion an option? it went on and on and still going nowhere. DNF

maybe just too redundant/silly for my taste. possible dNF. Did love this author's first book This is How it Always Is--a great story of helping a transitional gender child deal with a changing body as he ages

an interesting study of a middle class family in UK during the years following World War II. Mom, Dad and 6 children. Back and forth in timelines. Stories of each as young children and how that shaped their future self and the secrets keep hidden

just started the audio

started print and switched to audio. Seems a little silly but am willing to give it a chance on audio. 77 year old woman becomes pregnant while fooling around with a neighbor in assisted living. How this will turns out I can't guess so I keep reading. Not sure I can stick with it as it seems quite far fetched but I give the author credit for creativity
