I’m enthralled with the characters of this book so far. Becky is determined, Cal is earnest and misunderstood. I just got introduced to Margaret and she came in pretty hot if I might say.

I tried, but something about this plot line is so interesting to me. Dnf

If jumping to conclusion was a person, it would be this character. Nonsensical, although the author tries to explain it. Annie/Cass is oblivious to simple truth layed at her feet. The miscommunication trope feels overplayed at this point, now I just find the character to lack intelligence. Will still finish this book, the format is enjoyable and I’m too deep to not see it through.

V.E. Schwab is truly gifted. Barely 10% into this book and it it’s already has a spot in my top 3 this year.

Can’t get into this. First DNF of the year.
