So far I don’t like this book and some poems are confusing to read, therefore confusing to understand.

I’m trying to give this book a chance so I’m going to keep going, but so far I’m not impressed.

Poetry is an acquired taste and an art, I won’t disrespect the author. Maybe her art isn’t for me.

Heartbreak sucks, but it always makes you into a stronger person.

I may never experience a love that makes me feel this way. I’m starting to become content with it, but what a blessing for the ones who will never have to wonderful what true love is because they already have it.

Heavy. She is raw in how she speaks regarding the sexual abuse she endured as a child. I give thanks to God that I didn’t experience that. But I have given my body to the wrong men and there are men I’ve been with sexually that didn’t have 100% consent. It still feels like a violation. #metoo
