Heavy. She is raw in how she speaks regarding the sexual abuse she endured as a child. I give thanks to God that I didn’t experience that. But I have given my body to the wrong men and there are men I’ve been with sexually that didn’t have 100% consent. It still feels like a violation. #metoo

End of book comment: I am my own soul mate. Love is truly as deep as God expresses it and there is nothing better than being a woman. This book kind of reminded me of mines. I like how she wrote poems to her audience and not just about her experience. I tried as much as possible to detach myself from this book because heartbreak is so traumatic. Bit and pieces of the book connected with me though.
