Great light comedy book for walks.

Thank you to archive.org for making an original, illustrated book available. It's so nice to see the original illustrations from this 2015 edition published by Kew Gardens. I love archive's photos of real books instead of the lousy, mutated layouts created by mobile friendly computerized editions. I miss paper pages so archive is the next best thing.

Excited to keep my audiobook habits going by getting back to this light and airy book of Amy's personal stories. I do love a good comedian biography...

Gaaahhh! The repetitive nature of this saccharine nonsense is really tiresome. Just pushing through this time because there are a couple good thoughts here and there and I've taken this book out of the library like 4 times but never finished. Goals.

Wow, does this thing drone on with feel good success stories I rarely relate to.

Finally got this back in the library. Will use to start the year ... Cheesy already but it's a short book. :)

Starting this again and back a bit since it's been some time. I love this book and want to savor it. Jacques is an amazing chef and person because of this lovely history... told with humility and appreciation for his hard working childhood.

p63 "...if anything ever happened to him, to go ahead and throw him off the end of the pier... Daddy said he had enjoyed so many fine fish in his day that they should have a crack at him in return."

pg 98 Why some do well... "Why do some daughters become high achievers and some self-saboteurs? ...the high achievers had someone special in their lives, a grandmother, aunt, father, or close relative who gave them positive messages to offset or confront the negative ones from their mothers. Many times this special person was loving, and empathetic, and nurturing."

Do about 20 minutes first thing in the morn is helping me get reading done.
