Decided to slowly savor this one. Hard to put down though because it's as captivating as the rest!

I've been on the fence with this book since the chapter about childhood obesity where the author flat out called kids fat. I'm in the solutions half of the book and the phrase "train up a child" is sending shivers down my spine. I don't think this is the parenting book for me. I'll probably finish it, but there is very little good advice here.

Going to be honest here, the chapter about guiding girls through their romantic lives (which includes LGBTQ advice) is the hardest chapter in the book to read. Ok, the taking care of herself chapter is rough too with the important and difficult talk about drugs, alcohol, and safe sex. Eeeek! Do they have to be teenagers ever?

Still slowly reading through.

58 pages in, and I'm contemplating boarding school. This raising a tween/teen daughter is getting too deep. Haven't even hit dating yet.

Stopping at the section on bridesmaids.

This is a very good book. Certainly worth reading this year.

Always good to keep learning.

Coding is fun. Learning a new code with my kids. :)

This is as far as I can get right now. Book is due back at the library. I will try and get further next time.

Not bad, but I don't see myself shelling out the big bucks and going on a grocery hunt for spelt flour and other special flours. I'm sure the texture is lovely, but I don't want to put in the effort.

The part where someone thinks Harry summoned the dark mark. Sometimes the adults in Harry Potter are really dumb.

"Reading two pages apiece of seven books every night, eh?" Clever line I feel speaks to me. I think I will try and finish this...somehow.

Can't believe they're still watching Quidditch. I forgot it takes them a while to reach Hogwarts.

Time for characters to start dying.
