I really liked this book! I understand why the collective readers found Sciona annoying, and for those that stopped reading because of it, I wished they'd kept going. I fully understand why ML Wang wrote her that way. She was supposed to be annoying on purpose! A lot of elements of the plot are reflective of real life, and there are some people who are willfully ignorant, like she was. But that does change in the end

Mia has a thing for traumatized protagonists ending up together. I liked this story more than "MoaY" though Archer suffered from a bit of Gary Stu characterization. He was too perfect most of the time. It was very much bleeding heart romance though I still enjoyed it. 4 🌟

I'm almost done, but this story is so funny and cute! He did a great job blending humor with the realistic worries of young love. The awkward interferences by surrounding adults that sometimes offer good advice and other times downplay your feelings. It's a good mix of fictional and real, and I hope young adults read this book and find it relatable. 4.5 🌟

With the rom-com movie script writing style that Emily Henry has, I enjoyed this book and could revisit it in the future. It's a little too perfect and over-dramatized sometimes to hit those movie-like notes at the right moments. Her main characters read similarly, but it is still entertaining enough for me to check out her releases. 4🌟

I liked this story. It's a unique premise with a bit of romance thrown in along with its darkness and otherworldly intrigue. It would be a great fall/ Halloween read. I'd be happy to revisit this story again. 4.25 🌟

This was a nice love story and a somewhat unique premise. Both broken in their own ways but find healing and true love in each other. It was predictable, but still enjoyable and worth a casual reread in the future. 4.25 🌟
