me and my love hate relationship with books with friendship argument scenes that I knew were coming. on one had i could smell the tropes that would be in this book a mile away. so it's not like im surprised. BUT on the other hand I hate them depite the fact that it's realistic that a groupd of 17 and 18 yr olds are reacting like that.

I love how this is a more YA (or NA??? I dont really know the difference) leaning book than their other ones so far. all the teenagers actually act like teens no matter how rich and white and the references don't feel too cringe they feel realistic

I love the way the brothers are written. like people w/o siblings don't get the sibling bond (idk if Weaver has siblings) but the Kanes dynamic is written really well and it's genuinely one of my favorite parts of all the books
