Holy fuck.

Another stubborn FMC in a Self-Righteous Betrayal Spiral/“wounded woman” trope following the third-act miscommunication/reveal. It’s an exhausting marathon of emotional self-sabotage despite the MMCs consistent self-sacrifice and acting in FMCs best interests. Feels like lazy writing - artificially prolonged conflict, ignoring established dynamics, and flattening the FMCs arc. 🙄

Had to hold off on this until I can read it on KU, because the audiobook is really.. not great.

One of the best Romantasy books I’ve read so far in 2025. The audiobook has some drawbacks, but such a good start to a series I can’t wait to continue.
