I just received the audio from NetGalley. I’m new to Anthony although I’m well aware of his fame.

Opening chapters are about my home country so thus far enjoying it. Not into extreme foods so not sure what’s coming up and what I’ll be able to endure or rather what my stomach will be able to endure.

Super enjoying this, especially with the fabulous voice actor. Didn’t think I would, haven’t loved her past writing, but this one is the exception.

This is an incredible story if you’re into World War II/holocaust which I gave up on a long time ago. Given the state of the world I don’t see the point in reading or writing about the topic anymore because we have clearly learned nothing. I will finish this which is a credit to Jodi. She herself an amazing storyteller.

Thoroughly enjoying this, a wonderful story for book club for intermediate students.

I’m in a reading slump right now, so it is taking a long time to get through, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. It is such a beautiful story. It’s what we all need right now.

I think this is going to be the one, the best of the year.

Early in and I know this will be the one, the best of the year. A year ago, I thought the same of Backman‘s latest and I was correct. But this one, cover illustration in my favourite element of visual art, the name of one of my children on the cover, the background of the main character identical to mine. I think this was meant to be. This is one I will savour slowly.

This is a reread. It’s even better than I remembered the first time around., I can’t wait for the adaptation. It’ll be the hottest one ever.

What an odd tale

This book is much too long, longer than it needs to be. Another knock against an editor. Maybe I should be become an editor…sigh.
