Listening to the audio version, which is brilliantly voiced. I think it's better than reading the book. The writing lends itself to the audio mode. So many stars. <3 <3 <3

Very low angst warm-hearted story. Nice comfort read.

I went to sleep listening to this book last night, and I have been thinking about the characters all day. It feels like 'love at first sight' for me and this book.

This is unbelievably good. I'm enjoying it even more than Those that Wait.
Definitely an All-Time-Favorite.
I am going to have a heck of a book hang-over.
Also, this is the first-time I've bought the audio book and enjoyed whisper-sync (or whatever it's called). I really needed it for this book, as it made it possible to listen when I was really tired and wanted to rest with my eyes closed.

I had to have a closer look at this book after reading just the first sentence of the blurb. I'm on the second page, and already highlighting favorite passages. " A fugitive becomes a queen or a scientist or, worse, a poet."

Super angsty, slow burn in a lovely setting.

Karen Chilton's narration is brilliant. None of the reviews mentioned the great writing, so I'm wondering if the words on the page come alive when read by the right narrator.

This is more of a mystery thriller story than I'm totally comfortable reading, but I love Anastasia Watly's narration, and so I read it anyway. It had its rough spots for me, but it's a good read with outstanding narration. I'm stalled-out on the read now that most of the mystery has been revealed.

The first paragraph is fabulous enough that I felt I had to comment on it. I waited to read this until I was able to complete a reread of Under Your Skin, and I am so glad I am finally beginning this series.

A comment on the acknowledgements. I was leaning toward some sympathy for Michele by the end of Under Your Skin, but now I am going to hunt down the audio of Sliced Ice to hear Angela Dawe's performance.
