I had to request this book on Netgalley because VIOLA DAVIS NARRATES IT and I’m already LOCKED IN

I am crying 😢

So far I am finding the flashbacks more interesting

The romance in this book is 💜 🔥 I did not know we would have a bit of that

I really wanted to read something witchy and chill and it seems like I chose the right book

Ok so right now…. This is a very comical. I can’t take Alex seriously but the general consensus seems to be that it gets better when the dark elements start to show so…. I guess I will continue

Yo until now this was a 3 star read, it is now officially a 4 star read. I am hooked!

This book has 74 chapters and is divided in 3 parts. I am on chapter 20, about to finish the first part and so far it’s a struggle to continue. It has been slow, predictable, and the trainings scenes too long. Very rarely are training scenes interesting, unless the character is going through some special transformation it’s better to keep them short imo.

Anyways, it has great reviews so we’ll see…
