Tell me, am I supposed to feel the same way about these two couples? Because I really really do not lol. I know Sally Rooney writes about messy people but Felix has zero redeeming qualities and it’s making me mad lol

I picked this up without knowing anything about it and I am shocked to learn it’s a novel and not memoir/a nonfiction exploration of crushes. This isn’t really a story…I’m quite confused as to what the author is trying to do here

Ok I have read and enjoyed other Abby Jimenez books and I actually don’t think the “cringy” language is something that bothers me but the grammar so far feels…off and that I fear could put me off

The middle section of this was insane

I’ve been really enjoying this so far but the sudden lack of punctuation is throwing me for a loop

I still don’t think this book is well-written, but I’ll admit I’m being moved. I had family in Poland during WWII, so it does hit close to home. I do wish the current day plot was more condensed because it’s not the heart of the book at all.

My unpopular opinion is that WWII novels that are mediocrely written remain highly praised as long as there’s tragedy involved…and I fear this is not an exception to the rule
