This book is really boring. The FMC is stupid.

Why is Jasmine setting the scene for poor Aran to be stuck in some kind of lavender marriage with a bunch of psychos. “We only fuck them in the ass because they’re nothing but holes. Our true love’s Orion, but during training, we don’t want him to be too sore. As doms, we like it rough.” Scorpius leaned over and gently kissed bee-stung lips.

Please tell me Aran is going to rip out his heart and eat it.

The first book was such a winner, toward the end Sierra doesn’t listen or think she only reacts. This puts her onto a new path but she is turned into a babbling idiot who doesn’t seem to consider her actions or behaviour. This is a far cry from the girl who scaled the wall in the first test. I hope the author can turn this around because she is going to become annoying fast.

Apparently Sienna is a naive 35 year old who doesn’t know what a dominatrix is. This persona of this goody two shoes who stays home and reads books in fluffy pyjamas and slippers. Reads what?. Maybe Harry Potter or The tales of Narnia. Ummm no, little miss innocent golden vagina states, “She is mine. Three words. I now understand why I have always been so fascinated by dark romance books.”

2 nights spent in a cave and Sapphire goes from I hate you die, to I love you be mine.

Zoe decides that the rest of the humans that surrender to their fate are giving up. She tells them they should go to the gardens to go rustle up some sage so they can use it to cleanse their spaces. Like wtf. You are a prisoner in a vampire court, why are you worried about sage.

Oh Zoe, you were the only one carrying this book and you are letting me down girl. In a place full of predators you keep your head down you watch, you wait you learn. You don’t parade yourself as the most spirited you idiot.

Riven is pouring out his heart about how important his familiar is to him and how Ghost is his constant and his only friend. Sapphire responds ands says, “I have always wanted a pet.” Can this girl be more cringe.

“I won’t do that to him. No matter how much I hate him.” Less than a paragraph later….

This chick is a bunny boiler.

This book started off so well. I was buying into the badass FMC and her ability to scare the pants off of anyone who crossed her path. And then arrives Orin and she turns into brain dead fool and continues on that path. I am 188 pages into this book and I don't know if I can finish this. Not every book needs a forced romance. I will slog through this and hopefully the book redeems itself.

Naomi, you have my attention. I cannot wait to see where this story is going.

I am 54 pages in and I can understand why Sadie is cursed. This woman is bound tighter than blood oath. She is constantly freaking out, her palms must be sweating profusely. I woke up and chose violence this morning, violence against Sadie. She needs a slap.

I am really struggling with this book. With the logic surrounding the rebel faction. The Corentine siblings don’t even seem to interested in ruling the kingdom. They are doing this purely for for revenge. The thing is the people they will be taking revenge against were children at the time of Kerrin’s death and Faran’s imprisonment.

I was never sold on the Amber / Miro relationship. Her husband went to war and fought like a man possessed for his wife. He barely features in this series but the few pages dedicated to him were more exciting than Miro and Amber ever could be. Im not impressed.
