Audiobook is a delight

Honestly, this reads like something I would have written back when Yahoo! Groups was the bastion of fanfic collaborations. Multiple people have mentioned in reviews that it’s a decent premise for a cozy - and it is! .. But it also reminds of the time I accidentally toggled on the low-vision accessibility settings on Netflix and suddenly a voice was describing EVERY minute action taking place on screen.

Too much telling, not enough showing. Definitely a distinct lack of descriptions in this book (so far). I appreciate the need to continue driving an “action” story forward, but.. I would have liked to have seen the settings a bit more.

Main character is not particularly likeable. Will shelf this book for a while and maybe come back to it later.

Shame because the premise was good.
