The typo Grace when the chapter should start with Rose took me a minute to unscramble.

I’m going to be disappointed if the brother attempts to kill hey for the money in her dowry and I already guessed that so early in the book.

The writing is good, but not appropriate for younger teens. I would suggest this for 16 or 17 and above.

My rating is more 4.5/5 because a woman so bold during this time frame would not be accepted.

I don't like the way the deal is set up.

I love the plot, but the book needs major editing. The first half of the book seems to have struggles deciding which point of view and tense to stick to and that's in addition to telling. The whole book continues with telling rather than showing to the point that the emotions feel fake.

How is she talking underwater? Also, I would think her eyes would be burning so much at this point that she would be struggling to keep her eyes open.

A Flawed Jewel is a little predictable and had some typos. The relationship felt forced and superficial. It's a fast read.

So far I like the idea of the book, but the characters don't have a lot of depth and the details are listed rather that the story showing us the details. Basically, this thriller is a little dull so far which is disappointing. The Pirate attack was the best part so far.

I swear I've read this before.

Opposing Sides:I find it funny that a book about a girl tutoring a football player that needs help with English assignments, specifically grammatical errors, has so many typos and grammatical issues. For example, "she used her phone on her camera to take a picture." Aside from that, the characters are okay and the plot ends in a nice spot for a series.

Crossing the Line:I'm just not interested enough to continue the story. The characters are okay, but the plot doesn't go far enough to make you want to buy part 2 and finish the story.

Patriotic Duty:I just didn't like this book. Too many editing errors. The writing was more telling than showing. You are told what the characters did and aren't drawn into the story. The characters don't feel in love, more like hot for each other and in lust.

The only part is the book I liked was the last chapter. The writing shifted, the characters become more real, and there are a couple of good lines.

Saving Forever: A lot of of editing errors and I'm not sure where the plot line is headed. There's really no problems to solve or bad guy to thwart. Overall, it makes the story really dull. The beginning of a relationship between Charity and Elijah is off to a nice start though. I just wish the story had more excitement to really pull you into the story. There's no conflict to keep things interesting.

Michel is super creepy. I just don't like Reed's character. He thinks with the wrong head too much. The story could also use a little editing. Parts do not agree with what has already happened.

Some editing errors. The story cuts off at a point that makes you want to pick up the next one and see how it ends. Basically the book isn't great or horrible.
