I do like this book but it’s taking me longer to read than any book I can remember in like the last year. And nearly 200 pages left.

So far I’m liking this novel more than the last 2 novellas I read by Starnone. I prefer reading in the first-person and appreciate he still uses that perspective despite the story being entirely about someone other than the author. If you have had an old-school man from Italy in your life, this book is endearingly entertaining.

Can already tell this is a book I’ll be re-reading because I love it so much and want to savor & absorb every letter. Was also a nice surprise that it’s a sequel to A Girl Returned.

I know. I too cannot believe I’m reading (listening) to this stupid book but it actually kept me pretty entertained/awake on a long drive so I shall continue for commutes.
